Responsibilities of the Qualified Service Technician

The Qualified Service Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Carry out proper preventive maintenance on the lighting and electrical systems
• You will also be required to work on installations and troubleshooting of this equipment in case there is an emergency
• You will also need to regularly work at height while repairing or installing these systems on-site
• You will need to document and report on work orders assigned
• You will report to the customer service desk and a sales representative
• You will need to communicate with the client effectively and professionally
  
  

Qualifications Needed for the Technician

The technician should have the following desired qualifications:

• Strong background in electrical and electronic installations, maintenance, and programming knowledge
• Certifications to operate at heights
• Should be able to lift and move heavy objects within the workstation
• Should be able to operate a 48” bucket truck and have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Have between 1 – 5 years’ experience in the electrical field
• Have a strong troubleshooting background
• Should have effective communication with customers
• Should understand how to use smartphones
• Should have a safety certificate
